The possibilities are endless as to who you could give the jar of sexiness to. A granny, a vicar, a librarian, a lollypop lady, a camel from a circus (just to see what it would do).

Here's a thought. There's a haunted box on eBay (Clicky Here) and it's really quite spooky-sounding. Perhaps it would be possible to simulate a haunted box, even cause the holder to create happenings themselves but without their knowledge? And it would be interesting to see if anyone would open it, even if they've been told not to... Wink

Who would want to play if he invited us all over to a 'Haunted House' for a weekend...and told us the only rule was that we couldn't leave until the Monday morning?

Oh yey! Very Happy

Imagine what fun he could have with a Haunted House!

One person could be in charge of the haunted box...

One could be pre-conditioned (without the others knowledge) to become possessed at some point...

One could sleep in a room that's full of subliminal messages suggesting she talk about nothing but how wonderful Derek Acorah is...

One could go into a weird trance whenever Derek Acorah is mentioned...

Oh, and all the possibilities for Pepper's Ghost! How I love thee...

Plus we need to have DB milling about, invading everyone's comfort zone, making suggestions to disorient people, performing some effects under the guise of relaxing everyone, but actually using them to unsettle the subconscious (yeah, I'll have to think of something for that!)...

Don't forget, the fear induced by that kind of situation is not of what actually IS happening, but of what COULD happen. Anticipation is a terrible thing...*grins evilly*

Heh, yes!

Card tricks would be a good way to unsettle people without their knowledge. A card trick is inherently entertaining, and you would probably relax a bit, but suppose the deck had almost-invisible ghostly faces superimposed on the card faces? Slightly altered pips, maybe? Or maybe devillish faces on the picture cards? You wouldn't necessarily notice them consciously, especially if the cards are being flashed around, but the subconscious might pick up on it, especially with a few carefully chosen hidden suggestions...

And think of what you could hide in the elaborate detail on the back of the cards...

*thinks about getting Black Tigers out tomorrow to see what could be changed!*

In fact, what the heck, use Black Tigers, or Vipers. The black cards themselves would immediately suggest a dark intention, and are slightly voodoo-esque in appearance...

Hey,
The haunted box is a good idea. You could talk about Pandora's box who let out all the evils of the world...then ask them to open it!

After that spiel, you'd think twice!

In the 50's they did a psychology experiment with cards coloured oddly. Hearts were black and spades red.

People would look at the cards and "sense" something wrong. Sometimes they would see a red spade as purple! What happened is they knew the shape indicated black but the card was red. What's called top-down processing occured which blended the colours to purple!

Others just freaked out, feeling as if their mind was going..."somethings wrong, somethings wrong!"

Brilliant!

Seosamh.

I'd like a haunted box with Derren's missing hair in it and with his voices all over the house..

You could arrange it so that the people on the way in saw the people on the way out - have actors coming out, acting really freaked out as though something terrible had happened.
