How about DB convincing someone they talk some weird, made up language so they can't understand anything being said to them in English.

This thinking up ideas thing is a lot harder than it looks! You must have a ver active imagination Spaz. Wink

Or he could incorporate an effect into his show where everyone in the audience has a sudden urge to buy all his DVD's and join his forum....oh wait, he already seems to do that one pretty well. Wink

Gawd, no wonder I couldn't find you! Come and help me with all this glass...

TP, erm...no. We haven't...
Hypersang tells me that he's already seen a couple of sneak previews from the series (don't ask me how!), and that one effect has something to do with dreaming. He hasn't mentioned deja vu, though, and hasn't gone into detail. Is that what you're intimating here?

Ah, I thought you had seen them, hence the deja vu.

I believe it was shown at a magic convention.

It is a fabulous piece and very exciting.

Hello folks! I thought I'd stick my snuffly proboscis in here and see what you lot were blibbering on about. Wink

I like the "Soul In A Jar" idea a lot. It's the Separable Soul motif, isn't it. It's one of 40 odd thousand recurring threads in folklore, identified by an academic called Stith Thompson in his research on yarns and fairy tales.

It also reminds me of the latest Harry Potter novel, and the bit about how Lord Voldemort is storing fragments of his soul and power in various magical objects. The question is what part of your personality, which one of your skills or traits or foibles, would you want to remove, and what would be your motive for doing so. And afterwards how differently would you behave. And how could you demonstrate that to the audience (in a fun way).

Why haven't you read it yet? It would be easier than trying to avoid spoilers. Also, why didn't you stop reading at the point where Go Go had wrote "It also reminds me of the latest Harry Potter novel, and the bit about...".

Idiot.

I haven't read it because I'm waiting for the paperback version to come out.

I didn't read past the first part of GoGo's sentence. Unfortunately though, because she was referring to something in her previous sentence, it has still slightly spoiled the book for me.

How about getting a Spearmint Rhino lapdancer to put her sexiness in a jar. ... And then giving the jar to some old granny.

Or getting someone to put their guilt in the jar, and then asking them what they really think of his show. Or his suit.

Does she have to be a granny, or just old enough to be a granny....sexiness...I'm up for that.

Woddles away

I'm with the soul in a jar, Demon Dezza and the 'dream come true scenarios'.
