http://www.urbandictionary.com/browse.php?word=nobacherie

Come on, own up. Who's been putting it about?
Is there a standard definition floating around which could be used instead of this one?

has anyone suggested some possible connection between the clues way back about nobacherie/nobacher > feminine/masculine and then maybe victoria/victor?

and who actually knows the answer? i'm a bit lost, i dont know if you're even guessing any more... oh well.

this is an evil plot but strangely compelling. i quite like 'never order brown around, cherie'

As a closet reader of this thread from day one, I have come to the conclusion that the word 'nobacher' is the product of a drunken conversation between friends. Much like the sort of conversations I have with my own mates, resulting in strange words then introduced and accepted as actual vocabulary in subsequent conversations.

I realise this may be the wrong answer, but it helps me sleep better at night if I tell myself it's actually right and my brain doesn't have to hurt anymore.

My brain packed its little suitcase and left on...err...about page 21 I think. Everything else I've posted is just drivel from then on... Wink

Besides, Nobacherie clearly means 'H'cHarNO Re'bAch Taj'E PetaQ'choRs; a Klingon phrase which, roughly translated, means 'my Commander has a beard of tribble fur'.

Im now thinking of changing my forum name to:

DaveDerrenandCoopstellmewhatitmeanswithintendaysoriwillkillmyself
anditwillbeallyourfaulttheniwillhauntyouduringoneofDerrensseancesand
giveyoutheshockofyourlife Twisted Evil

I am almost a hundred percent sure there is no right answer because the explanation Coops gave me was so weak it cant possibly be the same answer he's given those of you that say you know or like me you wouldnt
believe it for a second!

Then again maybe he was telling the truth, like a double bluff because the
answer really is that simple he knew i wouldnt believe him.....

My head hurts Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

There's probably an upper limit for names and I'm betting that one would exceed it.

Have any of you with an answer actually tried speaking to any of the other people with an answer or are you all being nicely obedient and keeping schtum?

I feel special as I wasn’t told to keep quiet.

But I don't feel like it.

Or I could be lying.

Or maybe I don't think it's the truth.

Or maybe I think it is the truth and I want you all to crumble.

Confused

I knew I would have been safer keeping away from this thread...

See? Everyone just wants to wield their superior-ness over us. Even if they don't know the real answers, just made up ones that Coops and Derren have given them for fun.

We should get that other DB who isn't David Blaine or David Blunkett, Dan Brown, to have a look at all this. He'll come out with a 500 page thriller that will explain it all, and how the legendary "Nobacherie" riddle is linked to the missing 2.8 seconds in the Seance, parma violets, sock garters and Derren's mysterious two middle names. It'd be a bestseller, I guarantee it.

The question is: who would play DB in the big budget Hollywood movie based on the book? "The Nobacherie Code" - has a nice ring to it.

Marc Cohn. There's a mild resemblance, better than the DB/Hucknall one:

But, unfortunately, would have exactly the same plot structure as all his other books.

Just caught myself singing this while reading this thread. You Dwarfers will know the tune...

'Master of the No and the Bacherie
His command of stage direction is uncanny
How come he's such a genius? Don't ask me...'

I had a complete Twin Peaks experience because of this bloody thread last night.

Woke up at 3am with a realisation I knew what this meant, could explain it and use the word confidently.

Then I woke at 7.30am and had forgotten everything.

Bugger.
