There's a reason that it's 63 pages, Miss Grumpy, it's because we don't know!
Spell it out in French, it says:
'No bay ah say, ash er air ee uh'
or
No Ebay, I say, a sure area.
There. Solved. _________________

I can't believe I missed this thread!
Maybe I'm being really thick but isn't Nobacherie just another word for fantanquerist(e) in Cajun?? or Canuck?? I forget which. And I may have spelled it wrong.... |

To try and cheer up Spasm, I wrote this the other day:
[Note: The word seems to be pronounced 'no-bash-er-ee', but where marked * 'nob-asher-eye', as no one on the forum knew the correct pronunciation at that stage. Sung by Spasm the Cat and Part-Timer, with bits in bold representing solos by Spasm and words in italics added by Part-Timer, in his best Cockney costermonger bib and tucker (with spoons). It is to the tune of 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' .]
'StupidCoopsandSirBigDaveandtheirnobacherie'
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay.
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay.
StupidCoopsandSirBigDaveandtheirnobacherie.
Those two great divs think they are smart,
For giving clues to me.
If I read them any more,
I’ll need some pills, you see.
StupidCoopsandSirBigDaveandtheirnobacherie!
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay.
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay.
When I was on DB’s forum,
A thread I did espy.
Maid Marion had posted thus,
”What is nobacherie?*”
I wracked my brains and tugged my scalp,
Clues running round my head.
I couldn’t fathom many out,
So this is what I said:
StupidCoopsandSirBigDaveandtheirnobacherie.
This sneaky pair makes me despair,
With their tomfoolery.
You wouldn’t find credits like this,
Watching the BBC.
StupidCoopsandSirBigDaveandtheirnobacherie!
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay.
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay.
She banged her head upon the desk,
And left a nasty dent.
She’d swear and curse and oh, much worse,
While thinking what it meant.
When Spasm’s mindmap shed no light,
She wouldn’t take my calls.
She muttered something about Coops,
And cutting off his..nose.
StupidCoopsandSirBigDaveandtheirnobacherie.
The clues they’ve left make little sense,
So have a cup of tea.
You need to let it go, I think,
I’m down on bended knee.
StupidCoopsandSirBigDaveandtheirnobacherie!
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay.
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay.
You know, to say it another way, IfIgetholdofthosetwotheyaregoingtowishtheydneverbeenborn, but that's going a bit too far, don't you think?
Indubitably!
SpasmTheCat is out of luck,
But never fret, my dears,
She won’t abandon that old thread,
If solving it takes years.
I must admit that I’m concerned,
In case it affects her life.
Oh look! Is that them over there?
Spasm, put down that knife!
*Big finish*

Well, it's replaced the song that my head dj was playing previously ... so that's a bonus.

Ok, so I'm now going to be singing songs from Mary Poppins all day, cheers P-T.
Seriously though, brilliant work (as always)

I'm just trying to find some room for it! It might have to go in the 'Artwork' section, but then, it IS a work of art! _________________

There are many, many reasons why it is a blessing that it isn't on the forum CD. The main being it would be shite. |

Of course I shall be your nobacherie.
*Applaudes the marvellous play on of words created by siobhanluvsdez* Bravo dear.
Yes, I think the whole 'gun' thing would be super but it might make it a bit difficult, what with the restraining order and all.... oh and the actual fact that I don't own a gun. Darn.
We must hatch a better plan. |
Thankyou dear, now for your first job as my Nobacherie.....go find me a barstarding gun!!! _________________ " fantastic" |

Well, like I have told you, there are those three shotguns in the boot of a car I know of........... not discreet enough though. |

I was at work today and my daughter and I spoke briefly on the phone - she was giggling and said "When you get home, you must check out the song in the Nobacherie thread"
She was singing it when I got home.
She was right - it is excellently funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
