How is a nickname worse than a pic? Pic means we recognise you when we stalk you. Nickname = nadda! _________________ SpasmTheCat wrote: Draggy's the technical one - that's why she's a God! ™

It wouldn't have anything to do with a short film involving a hungover man, three ping pong balls and a woman named fedora would it?
This thread is beginning to feel like rumplestilskin. If someone doesn't guess what nobacherie is then SBD is going to take our babies (or one of the forumites) _________________ I reject your reality and substitute it with my own. |

My first crappy thought for today is that Coops has simply been given A FAIR SHARE of THE CREDIT??? (can't get the NOB in there, though) (as the actress said ........)

Aha! A nob - elegantly dressed man ... that'll be Derren, then ...
So it'll be Nob's affairs?
Oversees Nob's affairs?

This is my last shot and Im leaving this thread for ever.
Its short for "No backers to give him the credit" (not nicking your idea Squawker, but we have been thinking on the same lines!!)
clues that definitely link
Its clean, obvious and nothing to do with knobs
Its an explanation and a phrase
Links in well with genieb's original scenario that SBD liked but no bananas
Fish & chips clue - half the answer is taken away
Mcmillan - giving financial credit without backers
Foreign friend - bacher is the foreign bit, it can be pronounced 'barker' i.e. doggie
Derren Darren............ names spelt wrong
It isnt spelt as it sounds, hence references to spelling mistakes.
Numskull ninjas - I believe the Ginger Ningers were backs for Man Utd (but I could very well be wrong)
The London Eye/Victoria links - Coops is getting ideas above his station
Dubious clues
Carbon - dunno, is it 'c' for credit?
Fascinating does that just mean its an intriguing puzzle? or conspiracy?
Enrolment at a later stage.. - only bribery will work?
nfi
Greeane and Malaga clues _________________ Careful with that hedge trimmer Eugene

Every time I look at this thread nowadays I hear my mother saying 'don't pick it, Alison, you'll make it worse'.
A vaulable lesson there for all of us, I think.

BADGER was not a clue as such, the Harry Hill reference was correct though.
Ok ONE FINAL CLUE, the ANSWER can be found on page 47 of the Argos spring/summer catalogue 2004
Keep the faith, remember, its not the winning but the taking part that counts.................................YEAH RIGHT!!
TAB, SBD.

Super (v) eye = London eye?
(v) + sing = Victoria??
Together = Supervising .....
Coopie Clue 3 = Enrolment at a later stage ...... = miss the beginning = take away FIR from FIRST = leaves ST
followed by: SBD 4 = Derren, Darren clue. Take the wrong letters and you get A-S-E-A-N = ATION
Put them together and what do you get? STATION!! (again!)
Station supervisor?? (whatever that is ....)
(I've also got him in charge of Politically Correct Explanations???)

So he's either a playboy, a rechargeable torch or in charge of merchandise?
NOT FAIR! *objects strongly to last clue as it excludes anyone who doesn't live in the UK*

Argos - is that mostly toys?
So he's a toyboy?
Or the joker in the pack?
The practical joker?
Nope! Going to ignore that clue - even more confusing .....
Come on, Spaz! Where are you today?
Maybe he's 'game for anything'
Or 'fair game'?? (now there's an interesting concept ...) _________________ Coffee, chocolate, men ....... some things are just better RICH. |

Oh - let's get REALLY simple::
He's top of the London Eye - looking over Buck House - that means, if he's above his station, he's higher than the Queen - which would make him
KING or ACE???
of??
the 'C' clue would denote Diamonds BUT
the 'cher' would lead us to Hearts ...
or if we go for that toyboy, playboy image ...... he could be Ace of Clubs!!!
Mmmm - I know - too easy and nothing to do with anything else .... just musing ...

Sorry, I was asleep! *waves*
Unfortunately, I don't have an Argos catalogue - can anyone scan one? If not, I might have to go into town and get one...

*hands over mug of strong coffee and packet of Nurofen*
How's the head - after all that gin?
D'you think he's really taking the piss with that Argos thing? Maybe he just wants to see how many people are really going to go phoning Argos and trying to find last year's catalogues???
Perhaps not!
Have to continue with my 'ace' theory until I get it out of my system - to make room for more useless information and theories ....
Maybe he's just ACE - and that's it??
Nobacher could be No-basher = No beater = Ace - nothing can beat it?
Coops is an ACE! End of story! Production ACE! Objective Productions ACE! Team ACE! Derren's ACE! Whatever .....
