Maybe. |
No, you're thinking of The Marbles. The Plot is somewhere around the Royal Albert Hall, along with an anagram about telephone codes and catering and... okay I give up.
Bastards.

Concorde could be classed as "redundant" or "rejected".

I've been wondering whether the concorde clue is an anagram.
Lots of good words in there including 'Coopy', 'food', 'London', 'cycled', 'monocled' and of course 'Derren'.
However, the only phrase I can get out of it is
LO! COOPY CONDOM FOR DERREN HOLE
and I don't think that's a very plausible explanation.

I resent that!
Obviously, I was thinking that maybe Derren had a hole in his bucket and quick-thinking Coops suggested that a small piece of thin rubber would be an ideal quick-fix.
Obviously!

Hmm, the words that Big Dave misspelled are:
Numbskull
Big Dave
And
Coops
Happen
Now I just need the O, and the ERIE, et voila. _________________

-trots back again-
Y'know, it's amazing what you can find in an airline reservation system. I've discovered some very interesting things from last year...
Perhaps this 'nobacherie' mystery will be sorted out soon, yes? _________________

I just have a vision of Coops and Sir Big Dave sitting rubbing their hand with glee, muttering 'excellent' in a Mr Burns style. They've succesfully frazzled the brains of every forumite to visit this thread. _________________ You know I could have been me, if it wasn't for you. I am no closer to the answer but I AM trying, honest!
(went to an awards ceremony last night - why oh why do I bother? Just makes me feel inadequate.....but I did get to wear a posh outfit !)
Many, many theories here - we must be getting closer, surely.....(if not closer, you lot ARE getting funnier!)
Buck House - ER???? Is there a Liverpool & Victoria building nearby? (Scouse)
top of the Eye - the nadir of the wheel?? (nope, that's the bottom of it - dammit! another theory bites the dust..)
Concorde - decommissioned?? BA theory ties in.
SBD told us not to get hung-up on spellings as we would just confuse ourselves - and then all of his posts are peppered with spelling errors??
And what's Welsh for "pass the salt & vinegar"? |

If you look in the direction of Buckingham palace from the top of the London Eye, you'll see 10 Downing Street, where Cherie Blair lives. She is from Liverpool, therefore a scouse. The clue either means that the name is nothing to do with the word "cherie", or that it is but not connected to Cherie Blair. So it's not really much help unless we know which of the two they mean.
P.S. Hello. |
