I'm probably going the wrong way here, taking carbon in it's purest form diamond, I reckon Coops is a diamond in the rough stated as
Someone who is basically good hearted but lacking social graces and respect for the law
Often used to describe people on the edge of the criminal fraternity who, while they may not commit serious crimes themselves, they probably know people who do.
Now doesn't that sound like Coops?, slightly shady chracter who can get you anything you want for a tenner... _________________ If it's turned green that's when you go to see the Doctor. |

"Diamond" isn't necessarily the answer to the "purest form of carbon" clue. Graphite is an equally pure form of carbon.. just not as dense. (There could be a joke there) Maybe Coops puts the lead in Derren's pencil.. er.. maybe not, he said it wasn't knob related didn't he?! _________________ GENTLEMEN OF THE WORLD, UNITE.

Funniest thing about this thread: It's not knob related, but virtually every guess since finding that out has been knob related.
Anyone would think we couldn't think of anything else.

Sorry to digress, but I found this when I was Googling for more clues.
| Quote: | | A little birdie tells me that Lizzy Bardsley has started to get ideas well above her station. The former Wife Swap "star" keeps on turning up for filming of ITV's Celebrity Fit Club with her very own personal assistant, Diane. |
What on earth does that woman need a PA for?? To buy her tracksuits and fags? Ugh.
Mind you, if DB & Coops part company. We could always let Bardsley know about the "Nobacherie"! _________________ Definitely not a piss-taker at all. No way Jose. Never, not on your Nelly! |

Hmmm. The carbon clue. Carbon is an atom so anything made of carbon can technically be called 'pure', like graphite, diamond, Buckminster fullerene etc., so it can't mean that. How about carbon copies or something? _________________ "If the lead breaks, you go back to magic and learn up ways and means to vanish people - particularly mentalists!" - Corinda

I cannot believe this!!!!!
I have been reduced to muttering to myself over scribbled notes in the canteen!!! My colleagues think I've lost the plot!!! (mind you, they thought that before.....)
My guess is that we are looking for an acronym, possibly describing Coops' duties and/or describing his value to the team. (hence carbon/diamond reference?)
Times crossword, anyone? |

ok, this is really frustrating now.
sir big dave, you keep giving clues such as the one about the london eye, making it seem that we are only after a single word. but it seems that we actually after 10 separate words that make up a phrase. talk about confusion. . .
i will not be able to sleep tonight. |

Totally ignoring the clues but going with the hint about Lizzie Bardsley's PA how about something like (and this relies on Coops full name)
No
One
But
A (insert name)
Cooper
Handles
Everything
Right
In
Every way
Ok it goes very wrong at the end but it kind of describes a PA's role |
