Why magic? Well, there are a few reasons.

I have always liked magic, but I was never interested in learning. Then on the 26th of December 1998, that all changed.

Every year, my aunt and I go to a pantomime on Boxing Day. That year Dominic Wood was playing the part of Buttons in Cinderella, and he did a five minute magic spot. I was transfixed. In that moment I realised that I wanted to learn how to perform magic.

At first I just bought a couple of children's magic books and found a couple of websites. But I never practised properly, and although I was still interested, I didn't really learn anything.

I saw a local magic show in August 2002, and was called on stage to help with a bullet catch. I spoke to the performer (Mark Thorold) afterwards, and he introduced me to the North Wales Magic Circle.

I went to the meetings for a while, and in order to become a full member, I had to perform on debut night. I made my debut performance on the 1st of February 2005.

I go to the meetings on the first Tuesday of every month, and I love it. I am the minutes secretary, so I also attend committee meetings.

I am the first to admit that I am not very good at magic, but I am slowly improving, and I am enjoying learning.
